Christen, the creative force behind Look West Events, believes that every step of her diverse path has contributed to the rapid growth of her dream business. Christen was raised in Westchester, New York and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California. In 2013, Christen moved to Dallas-Fort Worth and gained experience in corporate event planning, such as trade shows, conferences and galas. In 2019, Christen obtained her Certification in Wedding and Event Planning (CWEP) and founded Look West Events. Christen resides in Keller, Texas with her husband, son, daughter and loveable English Cream Golden Retriever named Vanilla Bean.

With more than a decade of event planning experience, Christen has razor sharp planning and design skills. Each wedding and event she orchestrates is completely custom, and she prides herself in discovering something new with every celebration. She is always keeping a pulse on the latest event tips, trends and technologies.

Some of Christen’s favorite moments are those filled with deep feeling – the parent’s loving squeeze before walking down the aisle, or the private last dance where a couple melts into each other’s arms after a long, emotional day. She understands the power of these small moments and intentionally carves out ample time for you to savor them.

Tatom

Christen helped to plan Tatom's 2022 wedding, and when it was over, she just couldn't let go! Tatom has been a wedding day support associate ever since. Tatom brings composure, expertise and her signature twinkly eyes to every wedding. Couples and their families feel well taken care of when Tatom is near. She's always one step ahead of the timeline and gracefully guides the couple into each big moment. Tatom's professionalism and heart are unbeatable. She even gets a little misty right as the bride is about to walk down the aisle, and we love her for that!

Debbie

Debbie actually served as the inspiration for Christen to get into the business! In 2019, Debbie coordinated Christen's wedding and made an incredible impression. Debbie is the definition of a people person, and her positive spirit puts everyone at ease on the wedding day! Debbie is deeply appreciated for always double-checking that everything is where and how it ought to be. If anything unexpected happens, Debbie is the kind of "can-do" person you'll want by your side to devise a solution, and high-five when it all goes off without a hitch! When Debbie meets a couple, her first question is usually, "Where are y'all going on your honeymoon?!"

Nicole G.

Nicole G. has the type of personality that makes you feel like anything is possible! She'll handle a random wedding day side quest with a laugh and no questions asked. One of Christen's favorite memories of working with Nicole is when she texted her with almost no context, asking her to pick up a bunch of grapes on her way to a wedding. Nicole responded, "Yes, I can" and fifteen minutes later, "Grapes secured, eta 12:10 PM." Nicole is a go-getter and the type of person you want for any emergency, big and small, making her the perfect addition to any bride's special day.

Nicole P.

Nicole P. is poised, engaging, and wonderful at reminding Christen to actually delegate! Christen admittedly isn't great at asking for help, but Nicole naturally steps in and takes over, which is always truly appreciated. Nicole is attuned to the pulse of the room; she efficiently checks boxes, decorates the welcome table, gathers up bouquets, holds the wedding dress train and brings the bride and groom a beverage before Christen even has to ask. By day, Nicole P. is a dental hygienist, which makes perfect sense given her detail-oriented nature and calming demeanor. Nicole is kind of like Xanax in human form, and we mean that as a very high compliment!
